The VanGuard 2 Standard Kit is Raven Concealment Systems' minimalist trigger-guard holster for concealed carry. It covers the trigger guard only, adds no width to the pistol, clears all slide-mounted optics, and supports AIWB, tuckable IWB, tethered, and off-body carry from a single platform. Minimalist carry gives up one-handed in-waistband reholstering, the body shield protection of a full holster shell, and the consistent indexing geometry of a full holster mouth. The VanGuard 2 is reholstered outside the waistband — seat the VG2 on the pistol first, then return both to the waistband together.

Without the lanyard or overhook attached, the VanGuard 2 functions as a standalone trigger guard cover for safe storage and transportation. Foreign objects cannot reach the trigger. The slide can be cycled and the magazine released. The firearm can be cleared without risk of negligent discharge. This is the baseline configuration — safe mechanical isolation of the trigger.

Static-line tether carry

With the lanyard attached, the VanGuard 2 supports on-body IWB carry or off-body carry inside a bag, purse, briefcase, or vehicle console with a round safely chambered and the pistol immediately deployable. The tether retains the holster on the draw. If the attachment point fails, the nose of the holster can be caught and pried free one-handed. Deployment is always available.

Full IWB with overhook

With the 1.5" tuckable overhook attached, the VanGuard 2 becomes a stable IWB holster — adjustable for ride height and cant, tuckable beneath dress clothing, and fully ambidextrous without modification. A conventional AIWB or IWB holster, even a well-designed one, cannot be tucked over.
